Apparently my 1st professional exam of MBBS is going on. I am so exhausted as well as frustated that i decided to start blogging.
Dont get me wrong, studying medicine isn't all about frustration and intensive labour throughout your life. At least that what i'd like to think.
So as i was saying MY 1ST PROFESSIONAL EXAM IN M.B.B.S.
Well, to get what i am actually talking about you have to understand a chain of exam rules through which i get over with my MBBS course. And this system is for medical colleges in south asia (at least thats how far i know)
(M.B.B.S.- bachelor in medicine and bachelor in surgery)
I dont want you to get bored but just know this much that in my 6 year MBBS course i have 3 professional exams. And these exams are almost similar to board exams. So this exam is serious!
Anyways lets get to the topic.
Well, i was born and brought up in Saudi Arabia. And after my 12th grade for some stupid rule the Saudi government i had to come back to my home country Bangladesh:)
(I just get happy when i say my country name. Proud!)
Anyways i kind of had a wish for studying medicine but more than the wish i figured out no one in my family was interested in science and my dad always wanted one of his kids to become a doctor. So i decied to be the one.
To get admitted to any medical college in Bangladesh you have to appear for a nationwide medical exam. According to your merit position in that exam you will be told which colleges you can apply for.
Normally as soon as people get over with their A-levels they start preparing for this medical exam.
But for me i was too busy having fun.
I came to Bangladesh a week before that exam not knowing anything about it.
In the exam you have 100 multiple choice questions and you get negative marking for every wrong answer ( which i did not know )
So as usual i answered all the 100 questions and due to the negative marking thing and my lack of preparation i scored less.
Still there where WAYS to get in the top notch medical colleges with low scores.
I figured out a way like that but in the end i could not enter the colleges i had in mind because the WAY i went through was not strong and powerful enough.
To be continued......
( i just figured i still have lots to study)
